- Dr. Saleem Baloch, Zonal Coordinator Balochistan initiated the program with Tilawat, followed by National Chair Aziz Memon welcoming the participants.
- Minutes of the last Review Meeting were discussed and followed up with points written in the agenda. Details as follows:
- DG should ask potential Rotary Clubs to adopt a Union Council on pilot basis. The success of the model may be followed by other Rotary Clubs.
- Meeting with EOC Sindh for PTPs and establishment of Team support Centers is still not held. PP Masood Bhalli and Asher Ali need to confirm a date and meet with Coordinator EOC Sindh.
- It was agreed in principal to provide two shelters for PTPs in Dalbadin and Noshki, Balochistan. PP Dr. Hanif Khilji was requested to get a letter from EOC Balochistan.
- National Chair will arrange a meeting with the Commissioner Karachi which will be attended by John Agbor TL UNICEF, DG Irfan Qureshi and PP Masood Bhalli to discuss quality of training of CHWs and other issues.
- National Chair gave detail of the events during the quarter as follows.
- Ulema Workshop was well attended by the local Ulemas of Quetta , Kila Abdullah and Pashin on 27th July 2019.
- Polio kiosk was inaugurated at Quetta Airport on 27th July 2019.
- Ulema Workshop at Peshawar was well attended by religious scholars and leaders on 24th August 2019.
- Two polio Kiosks at Peshawar Airport were inaugurated on 24th August 2019.
- Workshop for Tier 1 Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners was held at Nathia Gali on 1st and 2nd August 2019. PDG Saleem Rao gave details of the meeting. He said PM Focal Person Babar Bin Atta mentioned that no police force will be used for vaccination and more emphasis will be given on community engagement.
- Prime Minister Task Force meeting was held on 21st August 2019. National Chair attended the meeting. He gave detail of the meeting and firm commitment from PM Pakistan to eradicate polio. He said his meeting with Lt. General Moazzam Ejaz was very fruitful. He assured his full support not just in high risk areas, but across the country.
- Three Health Camps were conducted in Godhra General Hospital on 4th August 2019, Ittehad Town 27th August 2019 and Gulistan-e Johar Karachi on 31st August 2019 during the quarter.
- Health Camp at Gulistan e Johar was arranged by Rotary Club of Karachi and also attended by BMGF representative Tim Peterson. He visited the Artificial Limb Center and appreciated the efforts being made for needy persons.
- TAG meeting was attended by all four Advisors in Islamabad.
- EPI meeting attended by the Project Manager PNPPC.
- National Chair Aziz Memon and IPDG Irfan Qureshi visited Hyderabad and met Commissioner Hyderabad Abbas Baloch. They discussed the recent polio case from Hyderabad and positive sites in the city. They also visited sites for installation of Water Filtration plant and selected a site at Sports Complex. (Action: Asher Ali will visit the site for technical appraisement)
- Monitoring of PTPs is essential. A meeting on PTPs in Balochistan will be arranged. Asher Ali PNPPC Manager; Advisor Dr. Hanif Khilji and Dr. Saleem Baloch Zonal Coordinator will attend this meeting with EOC Balochistan during September 2019 to know the status of present PTP shelters and future PTPs requested for Noshki and Dalbadin, Balochistan.
- Solar ILRs visit was done during the quarter. All ILRs are functional.
- Documentary on succession of Naunehal Academy SITE Town UC 9 is in progress and will be finished after taking clips from inaugural ceremony which will be held on 19th September 2019.
- Project Booklet has been completed and will be ready by the end of the month.
- National Chair gave a back ground of Naunehal Academy and Rotary Resource Center and efforts of Rotary. He said with the assistance of Sanofi and Global Grant, the Naunehal Academy and Resource Center at SITE Town have been renovated. PDG Christian Pages, NPPC Chair and President Shahzad Qureshi will inaugurate the center on 19th September 2019.
- Recently renovated Solar Water Filtration Plant at Ittehad Town is functional.
- Inauguration of RO water Filtration Plant will be held on 20th September at 3.00 pm at Baldia Town.
- Quarterly Review Meeting with Resource Centers will be held during the months of September and October 2019. (Action: Asher Ali)Dr. Saleem Baloch, Zonal Coordinator Balochistan will keep eyes on Killa Abdullah and visit PTPs.
- NPPC Chair thanked all participants for their active participation in the discussion.
